I started this blog after being inspired by my sister-in-law. I thought it would be a fun place to post all of the funny things that my 4 year old twins say and do. People always love to hear their stories...so why not post them!

Paci Fairy

We took the bags outside to the front porch for the Paci Fairy. We thought this would make it easy for her to pick them up. Emma hid hers behind the pumpkin! I was a bit scared it might stump the Paci Fairy.

The Paci Fairy left each of the girls a Dora Doll. The girls absolutely love them! And they have both been paci free at our house for a week. Elle did sucker Gram into giving her a paci for a few minutes at her house when she was upset. Elle has not admitted it to me, but Gram did. Oh well, I guess the Paci Fairy will have to make a stop there too! Elle does love toys!

Fun at the Park with Ryan and Dylan

After eating, Dylan trained Elle to be his Entomology Assistant. He was on the lookout for white fuzzy caterpillars. He found 4 in a matter of minutes.

Homecoming Parade
Pete was followed by the OSU Marching Band and......
Here comes Bullet!
This was my favorite float! Its a Pete in a Box! The head moved up and down out of the top of the box!
Elle's favorite part of the parade was seeing Elmo! She ran out into the street to hug him. After he walked by, Emma said she wanted a hug too!

Walk Around
Friday was Homecoming Walk Around, and if you have never seen it, I'm sure my pictures will not do it justice. I had intended on getting there really early, but I was held up in a meeting and was not able to leave work early enough to avoid the big rush! Logan took this first picture of the girls before we ever made it to the house decorations. I think we arrived about 5:45 and they had no clue what was going on.
The pictures of the house decorations that I have are not in any particular order, they were just the first ones we came to, and were therefore easier to photograph as you will see later. The first two are of the FIJI house dec. The entire thing is made out of chicken wire and tissue called pomping. They get points for moving parts and the overall design.
The one below is of the Kappa Sigma house. They actually were not done when we walked by. I don't know if the ever finished in time. I liked the picture of Pistol Pete and the little boy.
At the Sigma Alpha Epsilon House they were playing the girlie's favorite song while we were walking up, Take Me Home Country Roads. They girls were really impressed. It was my favorite one, and had it been working, it would have been amazing. The background was supposed to turn like the billboard signs. It had a morning, afternoon, and evening sky. It would have been even better had it worked!
This next one was Elle's favorite. It is a pirate theme. She talked about that Pirate Pistol Pete for quite a while after we had seen the Phi Kappa Tau House Dec. We even drove by some of the House Decs on Saturday after leaving Logan's House, and she kept asking to see the Pirate one again! She even described it, talking about Pirate Pete and the Pirate Ship! On our way to the requested house dec, she saw the SAE's above and she started singing take me home country roads! It was pretty funny.
These last couple of pictures explain why the photos ended. It started getting so crowded it was difficult to see the decorations, let alone get a picture! Scott told me he heard on the radio there were over 40,000 people at walk around. It was getting hard to walk around right before we left.

Hello Pistol Pete!
Well meeting Pistol Pete has been on the list of things to do with the girls. Finally, on Tuesday they had the opportunity. Elle was not scared and immediately went up to him (why not she had her picture taken with pirates and oompa loompas earlier that evening)! Emma took a while to warm up. But, they followed Pete around for a while because they were so intrigued! I'm sure they were wondering how his head got so big! Once I got him to stop, the girls wanted to touch his hand. It was so cute. Even Emma warmed up to him!

Poopy Butt!

But, I had to be an adult and put a stop to it. The last thing I wanted was to have a conference with their teacher about my girls saying "poopy butt" all the time. After having to look the other way and laugh, I told them that poopy butt was not a nice word, and they needed to say poopy heiney, which does not get the same laughs at our house. So we have been fighting this for a week and a half. If you spell it, they know what you are spelling, and proceed to say it. When I was scolding Elle the other day, and trying to correct her, Emma proceeded to repeat 6 times "you cannot say poopy butt sissy". The best was today at breakfast when I caught Emma saying it again, and I corrected her. She told me "It's ok mommy I was just singing it". She had a point. I had told her she could not say it, so singing it was a loophole. Emma might end up being a lawyer. Finding that kind of loophole at 2 is impressive!

Pull up my pants high like POPS!

The last picture is of the entire group. The just love being together! They can't wait to have another Halloween Party together on Wednesday! After we left this pumpkin picture, Dylan took Elle's hand and they walked together for a few blocks!
