Introducing Emma Ketchup Yates and Elle Mustard Yates

The girls have really been into full names lately. They want to know everyone's first, middle, and last names. They also keep track of the duplicates. They have the most of the family down, and are delving into friends. The other night they demanded that I call Madisyn Kodi Lowe's mom (their friend from school) and ask what Madisyn's dad's middle name was. They were so adamant that I tried, luckily, Amanda did not answer so I did not look like I was stalking her husband. It is really cute to hear them say the really long names like Redelsperger (Scott's sister's family) and Winterhalter (their friends). When I first told them that Dylan, Ryan, and new baby Aydan's last name was Winterhalter, they laughed and said "just kidding momma!" like I was joking. I think they were amused that it was so long. Now they rattle off the names like they have known them forever! The new amusement comes from changing people's names. That is where the Emma Ketchup and Elle Mustard come in. They have friends named, Dylan Hamburger, Ryan French Fry, and Aydan Coke.
Logan Nicholas Herr with Elle Madilyn Yates or Logan LaLa with Elle Mustard
Emma Kathryn Yates or Emma Ketchup, or Pancake, Raindrop, Mud Puddle......

Emma has been changing her name a lot lately. Above are a few of the regulars!

New Hairdos

I took the girls to see mom Kim on Friday. I had her cut a lot off. The girls won't let me do much with their hair anyway, so I figured, why not keep it short. These pictures were taken by Gram after Gram and Pops had given them a spa treatment. Gram on the hair and Pops on the nails! (I am not kidding! Toes too!) These are the girls' attitude pictures! I think they are pretty cute, and I love the flipdos. If I had straight hair, this is exactly the haircut I would have!

Horsie Ride

We were in Blair, OK on Thursday for Scott's Grandpa Marvin's Funeral. It was very sad, but he is finally resting peacefully. The girls were really excited to get to see their cousins Reagan and Ryan and their Grandma and Grandpa Mickey. They also told me that they were going to ride Pesky, grandpa's horse. They could not wait for the horsie rides! Luckily Grandpa Mickey made time for a few laps with all of the granddaughters on Pesky's back! They all had a great time!

Breakfast at the Little Bakery

The girls were a part of a moms and tots study, and we had to go to the OSU Child Development Lab on Tuesday. The girls were so excited to get to go to mommy's school!
We were a bit early to the appointment, so we stopped at the Little Bakery. Although it is not in exactly the same spot, as when I was at school, it is the same concept, with a lot more options. They each had their favorite...donuts with sprinkles! It was definitely the highlight of the trip. I found the study a bit of a bore. They played with the girls and took some notes, and I answered about 5 questionnaires. Oh well, we had a good time at the Little Bakery.

Trick or Treat

Sadly we only had one trick or treater to take around this year. Right before I picked the girls up from daycare on Friday, Emma got sicky. She had a fever, and was throwing up. All the way home from daycare she told me that she was "going to Trick or Treat" over and over again. But, when it was time to go, she was crashed out on the couch at Gram and Pops' house. It was really sad, but at least she was asleep and did not realize what she was missing. Elle dressed up in costume #3 a Cat! This cat lives at Gram's house. Gram has a cat and a mouse costume, so the girls can chase after each other! Elle had a great time filling her trick or treat bucket in 4 stops! Emma and I took a trip to the Urgent Care Center on Saturday to find out she had strep! Al least she is feeling better now! Just please don't ask her about trick or treating!

Halloween Parade

The girls got all gussied up in Halloween costume #2 for their school Halloween Parade. Hopefully they do not expect new costumes for every party next year! I just ran into $5 costumes at Old Navy last week, and could not contain myself. I thought even if we just wore them for fun, you can't be a $5 costume! Princess Elle and Princess Emma were ready for the Ball!
I think they are monkey princesses here?? Gram and Pops took the pictures, so who knows...maybe gram told them to act like Pops!

Mamie the bear slid into this shot..
