This is American Idol!

The girls loved American Idol this year. Emma's favorite was Lil Rounds, and Elle LOVED Scott McIntyre. Once their favorites got kicked off, they would pick a new favorite. They always made sure to pick anyone but Gram's favorite....Danny Gokey. Towards the end of the season, we would play American Idol at the house. Someone would sing, and everyone else had to announce what judge they were, and critique the performance. It was hilarious! Elle's favorite judge was Paula...because she dances. Emma would typically choose to be Kara. We had a Finale party at Gram's. The girls decided to dress up like their favorite judges. They picked out their entire outfits! We had fun. Just FYI.. I was Simon, and Gram was Randy Jackson because she has glasses.
This Paula saying something dumb, and Kara asking her what she said...

Fishing with Pops!

The girls got Dora fishing poles from Pops for their birthday. They finally got to use them for the first time on Sunday, and then again on Monday to use up the bait. The girls really enjoyed fishing and were patient, surprisingly. They caught five or six fish in a couple of hours. The fish seemed to love the Dora poles! The girls would sit in their little Mickey Mouse chairs and announce when they "got a bite". It was cute. They were fishing with minnows and like to get new ones for Pops to put on their hooks.

The first fish reeled in was welcomed by screams from the girls. Not screams of excitement, screams of fear!

Emma would hold her fish up for a picture. Elle on the other hand, would not. The first night she would not get within 3 feet of the fish once they were reeled in.

This is Elle displaying her fish!

Birthday at the Lake

We had the girls' friend birthday party at Boomer Lake on Saturday. It was a bit of a gamble to plan an outdoor party since around 22 of the last 24 days it has rained. But, I guess I'm an optimist, and could not say no to Elle who wanted a party at the "Yake". She does not pronounce all of her "L's" just right. The weather was a far improvement from the past couple of weeks. It was a bit windy and cool, but no rain! All of the kids seemed to enjoy playing outside, since they have been cooped up due to the weather.

There was lots of climbing and sliding!

The girls had a lot a friends that showed up for the party... below is Dylan followed by his little brother Ryan.

Here is Zane! The girls call him Zaney Pooh!

Madisyn Kodi made it to the party too! She was all princessed up! She goes to daycare with the girls and lives across the pond from us.

Cousins Reagan and Ryan also came over from Enid! The girls love playing with them!

Big Sister Reagan!

Little sister Ryan!

Below is Hudson in between the girls! He was there with his big brother Silas, who was too busy playing with Landon to pose for pictures!

A couple of hours of sunshine!!!

On Monday, there was a few hours of sunshine, and the girls an I made sure to take advantage of it! We had a picnic lunch and went out again after nap! Emma is really good on the swings. She can swing so high. She likes to keep her skill quiet because she likes people to push her....less work! Elle was sporting glasses that Grandma Judy and Grandpa Mickey gave her for her birthday and riding the Dora big wheel from Uncle Nate.
I love the picture of the slide. The girls have been catching each other..so cute!

We had the first of 2 Birthday parties for the girls. It was a little early, but a lot of family was in for Logan's graduation, and so it we had a birthday party too. The theme was hoedown! A friend of mine made these cute cakes. The girls had a great time. Luckily Uncle Nate was in town to enjoy the party along with Grandma and Grandpa Great Herr, Aunt Janet, Denise, and Terry. Grandma and Grandpa Mickey came in to town, and Gram, Pops, and Logan came over too! The girls had a great time, and we hope all of the guests did too!....Next party...Saturday, May 16th. All of the friends at Boomer Lake (we are hoping the rain stops!)

Happy Graduation Logan!

My baby brother Logan graduated from OSU on Saturday. I tried to take a picture of the jumbotron when he walked across the stage. After further examination..I have no idea who the guy is in the picture. So, I never got a picture of him, but I did get some of the girlies!
