Clown Car

So Gram and Pops made a new purchase recently. They bought a Mini Cooper Convertible. It is a ton of fun. The girls call it the Clown Car! They love riding in it, but sometimes there are arguments about whether the top should be up or down. Pops was taking the girls to pick up pizza a couple of weeks ago and Elle demanded that they all raise their arms and yell "We're Clowns" before they could back out of the garage. I wish I could have seen Pops! The girls like the car so much that Elle is convinced that they are getting that car when they can drive. She told Pops the other day that "He was giving her that Mini Cooper". When he resisted, she leaned over to me and whispered "I'll steal it!". It was funny! Even Logan loves the Mini! He tells me that it is a total chick magnet! Gram took some pictures of the girls in the Clown Car on Monday. ENJOY!

The Lost Summer Pictures....Birthday Party with Mari

We stayed with my best friend Abi and her family on our way up to my Grandma Swartz's 80th birthday party. The girls love getting to play with Mari. She is 10 and a half months younger, but is right in between them in size. She has some tall genes! Since the girls were not able to attened eachother's birthday parties, Mari suggested to have a party with cake for all of them. It was pretty fun! The girls sang Happy Birthday and blew out the candles like professionals!

The Lost Summer Pictures....Playing in the Water

Another fun thing the girls did in Blair over the Fourth Weekend was play with Grandma Judy's new water ball. I love some of the pictures! I have no idea why Elle has her mouth open in every picture. I assure you she was allowed to have a drink.

The Lost Summer Pictures....Riding Pesky

We were able to escape over the Fourth of July weekend to Blair to visit Scott's family. Although it was rather rainy, the girls were able to get some riding in. They love to ride Grandpa Mickey's horse Pesky. He is very patient and loves kids. The girls had a great time!

The Lost Summer Pictures....Swimming Lessons

I am beginning a new blogging series that tries to recount some of the summer activities. The girls took swimming lessons through the City of Stillwater in June. They had a great time and learned a bit about swimming. The most valuable thing that they gained was confidence in themselves in the water. It has made going to the swimming pool at The Links or as Elle would say "The Yinks" much more fun. They were very good a dumping water on eachother, as you can see.



The lifeguards put vests on them and took them to the deep end of the pool. This picture has Elle and Emma's favorite Lifeguard in it. It was Miss Bailey! Everytime the girls jumped off they wanted Miss Bailey to be there to either throw or catch them.

Back To School!

Well we are all back to school! The girls and Scott started last week, and OSU started yesterday. Oh where did the summer go? I can actually say, I don't remember a busier summer ever! I worked way too much, and played way to little! Oh well, great thing I get to try it again in a year! I took the picture of the girls on their first day of Creation Station. They were so excited to see their friends again. They even picked out their own clothes! Emma took the picture of Scott on his first day of school. She thought it was important to record his important day too. Maybe I can keep up my lunch blogging and catch you up on all the things I missed this summer!
